Overview
As a key member of the I/E & Control Systems Department, you will engage in engineering and design tasks focused on automation systems for substantial industrial projects across various sectors including midstream gas processing, petroleum refining, petrochemical, and upstream oil & gas industries.

Key Responsibilities
As an Automation Systems Engineer, your role will encompass:
  • 10% - Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, and clients.
  • 5% - Contributing to the initial project timeline and assisting in the ongoing management of project schedules.
  • 20% - Leading process quality assessments and approving technical drawings.
  • 30% - Overseeing PLC/DCS programming and HMI configuration tasks.
  • 10% - Creating Input/Output Lists derived from P&IDs and vendor documentation.
  • 10% - Conducting Hardware/Software Factory Acceptance Tests and Hardware Acceptance Tests for control systems.
  • 15% - Executing control system commissioning activities at project sites.
Additionally, you will be responsible for providing estimates for man-hours and equipment necessary for project proposals. The ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and work collaboratively is essential.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with equivalent experience in I/E & control systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with 10 years preferred.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and Wonderware HMI development.
  • Delta V programming experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of industrial networking is a plus.
  • A proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • EIT licensure or the ability to obtain licensure post-employment.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience in commissioning and start-up processes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proven track record of successful teamwork.
  • Professional integrity and well-developed organizational skills.

Physical Requirements
This position requires:
  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • The ability to stand for long durations.
  • Walking through properties and laydown yards.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
