Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Part Time Staff Accountant/Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team at a boutique CPA firm. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional accounting services to our clients, including bookkeeping, payroll, and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform client bookkeeping, including account reconciliations, journal entries, sales and use tax, payroll, payroll reconciliations, payroll tax, month end close, and financial statements in QuickBooks Online, ADP, and Paychex.
  • Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy with clients each month.
  • Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and prepaids.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files in QuickBooks Online.
  • Manage the company's liabilities, such as insurance premiums.
  • Review the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper in another firm or have had your own accounting service performing client bookkeeping, including payroll and payroll reconciliations.
  • Proven experience with financial statement preparation, General Ledger, financial statements, review general ledger, Balance Sheet, income statement, prepaids, GAAP, and sales tax.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting procedures and financial transactions.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
  • Strong communication skills, as this is a client-facing role.
