Job Summary

Garrison Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shift Preparation: Arrive on time for your shift and review the 24-hour report with the charge nurse to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as scheduled, including G-tubes, PO medications, PRN medications, Nebulizer treatments, PICC line medications, and skin treatments.
  • Charting and Documentation: Accurately document patient information, including changes in condition, new orders, and treatments received.
  • Resident Care: Conduct room rounds with the off-going nurse and ensure that CNA documentation on ADLs and meal intake is completed before the end of the shift.
  • Quality Assurance: Complete monthly summaries and skin assessments as assigned, and ensure that all shower sheets are turned in and reviewed before the end of the shift.
  • Incident Reporting: Document and report any incidents that occur during your shift, including submitting paperwork to the unit manager or DON.
  • Lab Inquiries: Complete lab inquiries and log new orders or received labs on the lab log.
Requirements
  • Current LVN or RN licensure
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
