Position Overview

As a Senior Associate in Fund Accounting, you will be responsible for preparing and processing transactions and financial reports, applying sound judgment regarding accounting principles to various complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver precise and timely work products within established timelines.
- Prepare work paper files ensuring accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, income and expense accruals, and investment activity.
- Update distribution waterfall (carried interest) models.
- Calculate management fees and prepare supporting schedules.
- Review all transaction documentation and supporting files, understanding the features of investment transactions and accruals.
- Perform reconciliations, process journal entries, and manage cash balances.
- Support the year-end audit process in collaboration with the team, clients, and auditors.
- Engage actively with clients and counterparties, including legal counsels, auditors, and tax advisors to meet critical deadlines.
- Conduct analytical reviews of daily and monthly results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA is advantageous.
- 2+ years of experience in Accounting; experience with alternative investments, Private Equity/Real Assets, or Hedge Funds is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and comprehensive accounting concepts; familiarity with investment partnerships is beneficial.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing general ledgers, work papers, and financial statements.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to complete assigned tasks independently while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills required.
- Audit experience is a plus.
