Position Overview:

The Business Intelligence Developer at Allegis Group is instrumental in crafting analytical solutions such as dashboards, reports, and customized tools for the organization. This pivotal role focuses on creating innovative visualizations and comprehensive insights within the Business Intelligence & Analytics division utilizing a contemporary data architecture.

The responsibilities encompass the enhancement and upkeep of the existing BI platform while developing new functionalities through advanced data transformation and visualization technologies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and possess experience in constructing modular data models for reporting purposes. The BI Developer should be capable of working autonomously and comprehending the broader implications of their contributions to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Duties:

  • Design, implement, and maintain dashboards and visualizations utilizing Tableau, integrated with Snowflake.
  • Create scalable, modular data models employing SQL.
  • Ensure data integrity through automated validation and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Deliver cutting-edge analytics solutions utilizing advanced ETL/ELT tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions leveraging a modern data architecture.
  • Establish and uphold QA processes, incorporating automated testing methodologies.
  • Stay updated with contemporary data stack technologies, promoting and adopting best practices.
  • Code, test, and support BI systems, ensuring smooth cloud integration and optimal performance.
  • Develop interactive visualizations from diverse data sources, emphasizing user-friendly design and effective storytelling.
  • Analyze extensive datasets to uncover trends and generate predictive insights.
Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred 3-5 years of experience in developing BI solutions with a modern data architecture.
  • Familiarity with the staffing industry and understanding of economic/market trends is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in modern data stack technologies, including cloud data warehouses and ETL/ELT tools.
  • Advanced skills in Tableau and SQL; familiarity with additional BI tools and dbt is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL development in cloud environments such as Azure and Snowflake.
  • Strong analytical abilities to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
  • Excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and automate test scenarios for system and user testing.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting code and data quality issues using modern monitoring tools.
  • Effective communication of project status, challenges, and resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) for data analysis and reporting is a plus.
