We are seeking a talented AWS Developer with expertise in a Kubernetes environment to contribute to our innovative team. In this position, you will be tasked with the design, development, and maintenance of advanced cloud-based systems utilizing Kubernetes technology. Collaboration with our development team will be essential to ensure system reliability and enhance user experience. Additionally, you will integrate new features, enhance system functionality, and provide technical assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Adapt software and algorithms originally designed for traditional environments to function effectively in cloud settings.
- Provide support for platforms and services hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other commercial cloud environments.
- Assist in managing platforms and services operating within the Kubernetes Orchestration Platform.
- Facilitate the transition of operational systems and applications from conventional platforms to containerized or serverless architectures.
- Integrate and maintain software within Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Support operational systems utilizing the Kubernetes Orchestration Platform.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution, or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience on projects with similar methodologies.
- Experience in requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency or knowledge in Kubernetes is required.
Certification Requirements:
One or more of the following certifications is required or must be obtained:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess a current/active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
- Frequent operation of a computer and other office productivity equipment.
- Regular communication with colleagues, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations.
