Job Overview

As an Azure Cloud Solutions Architect at Castle Branch Inc, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud infrastructure and services. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing our database management, DevOps practices, and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Management:

  • Adapt and implement database structures proposed by development teams.
  • Create and establish new database architectures as necessary.
  • Write and optimize stored procedures, SQL queries, and triggers for effective transactional processes.
  • Work alongside database administrators to maintain data integrity, security, and performance.

DevOps Management:

  • Design, deploy, and oversee Azure-based infrastructure and services.
  • Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps.
  • Monitor Azure resources to ensure peak performance, cost-effectiveness, and security.
  • Automate routine tasks and manage infrastructure through scripting and automation tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth application integration and deployment.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure and services.
  • Stay informed about the latest Azure technologies and best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Implement coding, testing, and deployment best practices.

Research & Development:

  • Assess and incorporate innovative technologies and frameworks.
  • Conduct exploratory research in software technologies and frameworks.
  • Partner with product teams to establish R&D goals and outcomes.
  • Create and evaluate software prototypes based on advanced research.
  • Document research findings and generate reports on project progress.
  • Assess the viability of software concepts and innovations.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Engage closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Document development workflows, system designs, and technical specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with additional cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
