Medical Office Assistant

Catholic Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team.
Responsibilities:- Pre-Visit Planning: Prepare exam rooms for use by disinfecting, stocking, and checking vaccinations and medications availability for the day.
- Patient Chart Preparation: Preps the patient chart with pre-visit planning by reviewing the next working day's schedule and identifying gaps in care.
- Patient Flow Management: Escorts patients to exam rooms and directs patient flow for maximum efficiency.
- Data Collection and Documentation: Collects and documents patient information, clinical data, and other relevant information such as vital signs, height/weight, allergies, active medication list, chief complaint, pain screen, and current symptoms.
- Reporting and Communication: Reports findings to the provider, recognizing abnormal findings or changes in condition.
- Specimen Collection and Processing: Collects, prepares, and processes laboratory specimens for on-site and remote-site testing.
- Front Office Support: Assists with front office duties, including greeting patients, answering phones, and verifying insurances.
- Education and Training: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or 3+ years documented medical assistant experience and completion of the CH Medical Assistant Assessment.
- Certifications: BCLS training and current certification required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Skills and Abilities: Proficiency with care tasks such as phlebotomy, aseptic technique, etc.
Salary Range: $29.13/Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and position location.
