We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Schweiger Dermatology Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in a fast-paced medical setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Care: Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the quality of service and care offered to patients and providers.
- Assist Providers: Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures, and record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization, and procedures within established guidelines.
- Prep Rooms: Prepare rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure it is in proper working order.
- Inventory Management: Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies, and alert the Head MA and/or GM of any low-level supplies.
- Continuing Education: Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.
- Experience: Previous healthcare experience is required, with a preference for dermatology experience.
- Certifications: Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is preferred.
- Skills: Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems, strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, excellent patient relation and customer service skills, and open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.
- Competitive Pay: Hourly pay range: $16-$20.50 USD.
