Job Summary

Baker Roofing Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of roofing systems, managing crew personnel, and ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the daily activities of the roofing crew, including designating material staging areas and overseeing the installation of roofing systems.
  • Train and supervise crew personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Manage labor projections, material storage, and material needs to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure that all crew members are following safety protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and estimating, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare and submit daily job reports and time sheets, as well as maintain accurate records of project progress and completion.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest quality standards and on time.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in construction management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with a focus on project management and supervision.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of crew members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines to manage.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Working Conditions

The Commercial Roofing Superintendent will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation. The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment, as well as work at heights and in confined spaces.
