Job Overview

As a pivotal member of our organization, the Business Continuity Manager will be instrumental in fortifying our resilience and preparedness strategies. This role involves the formulation and execution of innovative approaches to protect our operations and uphold our mission in a collaborative and dynamic setting.

Position Summary:

Horizon Farm Credit is on the lookout for a Business Continuity Manager to enhance our Business Continuity Program (BCP). The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of our organizational priorities and the implications of disruptions stemming from both internal and external dependencies, including IT infrastructure and third-party relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

In the capacity of Business Continuity Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing the Business Continuity Program to ensure operational resilience, aligning with the organization's risk tolerances and regulatory compliance.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and business impact analyses to pinpoint vulnerabilities and potential threats.
  • Creating and testing emergency and contingency plans to guarantee swift recovery of normal operations following significant disruptions.
  • Collaborating with various operational teams to develop comprehensive recovery plans tailored to individual departments, while providing mentorship through recovery scenarios.
  • Ensuring alignment and readiness across the organization by working closely with other departments.
  • Assisting with internal audits and regulatory examinations related to business continuity planning.
  • Implementing organization-wide training and communication initiatives concerning business continuity.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing or coordinating Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery functions.
  • Preferred certifications include CBCP - Certified Business Continuity Professional.
  • Proficient in planning and coordinating day-to-day contingency operations, including system/database administration and network operations.
  • Strong organizational skills for effective planning and prioritization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to convey technical information in an accessible manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with management and internal stakeholders.
  • Capability to identify compliance gaps within internal policies and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong project management skills and adaptability to a changing work environment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.
