Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough consultations with Bar members on various topics, including law firm management, technology integration, drafting agreements, and enhancing client relations
  • Provide expertise to the CLE department, contributing seminar ideas and course content on law office management
  • Engage in national practice management forums and cultivate a network of peers for professional growth

Job Overview:

Under the guidance of the Lawyer Assistance Programs Director, you will deliver ethical and practical legal advice, information, and resources on law office management, legal technology, and trust accounting for State Bar members through the Practice 2.0 program. Your responsibilities will include creating written materials for the Practice 2.0 website, conducting research on national trends, and collaborating with colleagues to develop and teach continuing legal education programs.

Essential Duties:

  • Design and facilitate engaging educational sessions for Bar members on topics related to law office management, including starting, operating, and closing a law firm, risk management, and trust account oversight.
  • Provide confidential consultations for Bar members and their staff on various practice management and trust accounting issues, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
  • Participate in networking events to promote the Lawyer Assistance Programs and develop professional relationships.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of practice management and ethical issues, including confidentiality, technology, and billing practices.
  • Assist in the development of resource materials and practice aids, ensuring they are accessible and beneficial to Bar members.

Qualifications:

Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona is required. Candidates with significant experience in legal practice, particularly in solo or small firm settings, are preferred. Knowledge of law office management and relevant technology is essential.

Certificates and Licenses:

Must possess a valid driver's license and insurance if using a personal vehicle for work-related travel. Membership in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona is mandatory.
