Retail Food Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Retail Food Manager to join our dynamic team at the 604 Hospitality Group. As a key member of our retail food operation, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure high-quality experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory levels, monitor food costs, and optimize ordering and supply chain processes to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Develop and implement processes to improve kitchen efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver excellent service and high-quality food products.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of food costs, waste, and inventory levels to inform purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and customers to build strong relationships and drive business growth.
- Develop and implement processes to improve customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in kitchen management, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Proven track record of improving kitchen efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing customer satisfaction.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability to travel for training and meetings (less than 10% of working time).
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
