  • After Care: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Position Overview:

Apollo After School is a nationwide enrichment and childcare initiative focused on curriculum-based learning. We provide parents with before-school and after-school childcare services five days a week, emphasizing Social-Emotional Learning and Project-Based Learning. We are in search of compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic childcare professionals to create a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming environment for our students in local PK-8 schools. Our staff is encouraged to express their unique creativity as educators within the framework of our research-driven extended-day curriculum. Education is a collaborative effort – our team must work closely with colleagues, parents, and school personnel to foster a positive learning atmosphere for our students.

As a Site Director at Apollo, you will oversee the execution of our extended-day program at your designated site. You will collaborate with Apollo senior leadership and support staff to ensure our program meets and exceeds the expectations of schools, parents, and students. Site Directors are also responsible for coordinating a team of instructors based on program enrollment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a high-quality educational environment and manage activities that extend the school day.
  • Oversee daily program operations and logistics in collaboration with Apollo leadership.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of enrolled children.
  • Supervise all aspects of the before and after-school program at your site.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with all participants, parents, school staff, and administration. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians during pick-up times, collaborating on student successes and challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including attendance and dismissal data (incident and accident reports, inventory, and parent communication). Adhere to data entry deadlines. Collect, review, and utilize program data for improvement and parent communication.
  • Evaluate and address challenges related to the supervision of PK-8 students.
Qualifications:
  • At least two years of experience working with school-age children, ages 4-10, in a school or after-school environment.
  • A minimum of one year of management experience with at least five direct reports.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
