Key Responsibilities- Participate in a comprehensive training program that includes online, virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training to develop skills and knowledge in claim handling, customer service, and insurance principles.
- Work closely with Unit Managers and mentors to promptly resolve assigned claims and provide exceptional customer service.
- Deliver consistent service quality throughout the claim life cycle, including prompt contact, explaining the process, setting expectations, ongoing communication, follows-through, and meeting commitments to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Review and analyze coverage and apply policy conditions, provisions, exclusions, and endorsements for Auto Damage only claims in assigned jurisdictions.
- Investigate each claim to obtain relevant facts necessary to determine coverage, causation, extent of liability, damages, contribution potential, and exposure.
- Recognize and request appropriate inspection types based on the details of the loss and coordinate the appraisal process.
- Establish timely and maintain appropriate claim and expense reserves, manage file inventory, and document claim file activities to resolve claims in a timely manner.
- Determine settlement amounts based on appraisal estimates, negotiate and convey claim settlements within authority limits to insureds and claimants.
- High School Diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience or Bachelor's Degree required.
- Demonstrated ownership attitude and customer-centric response to all assigned tasks.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail ensuring accuracy.
- Keyboard skills and Windows proficiency, including Excel and Word.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
