Job Title: Model-Based System Engineer, Digital Engineering

Apogee Engineering, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Model-Based System Engineer to join our team in Digital Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with colleagues to develop innovative solutions for our clients in the space systems domain.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented engineer with expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools. The successful candidate will support the development of a Digital Engineering Environment (DEE) for the Space Systems Command (SSC) and collaborate with program offices across SSC to identify digital engineering needs and integrate solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of a DEE Roadmap and Strategy for implementing digital engineering at SSC
  • Collaborate with program offices across SSC to identify digital engineering needs and integrate solutions
  • Develop and maintain digital twins of space systems
  • Research and recommend new technologies and methodologies to improve digital engineering capabilities
  • Work with colleagues to build innovative solutions for our clients
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, MBSE, or a related field
  • Experience with MBSE tools such as Magic Draw, Cameo, or SysML
  • Working knowledge of Linux, C++, Python, Perl, and Java
Preferred Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, MBSE, or a related field
  • Experience with MATLAB, STK, ModelCenter, or Teamcenter
  • Experience with Space Systems Command (SSC) or Air Force Research Lab (AFRL)
