Arcfield is seeking a highly skilled Model-Based Systems Engineer to lead the digital transformation of systems engineering processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools to drive cost and schedule efficiencies in the acquisition process.
Key Responsibilities- Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of mission systems using MBSE tools such as SysML, UAF, or UML.
- Apply systems engineering modeling methodologies to develop mission models, leveraging UPDM or UAF meta-model frameworks.
- Define and demonstrate data standards, data structures, and supporting technologies required to manage data needs for customer mission-based models.
- Integrate enterprise tools and develop MBSE-based processes to support requirements engineering, ERB process, CONOPS, architecture development, risk management, and system integration.
- Facilitate collaborative meetings between MBSE users and tool development teams to communicate modeling needs and innovate potential solutions.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to senior managers on creating and implementing new MBSE methods and techniques.
- BS in engineering, physics, programming, or related technical degree and 2-4 years of experience, or MS and 0-2 years of experience.
- Experience supporting overall engineering integration of Systems Engineering and Integration efforts for the Satellite Control Network, DoD, government agencies, or commercial programs.
- Experience with MBSE principles and tools such as Magic Draw, Cameo, or SysML.
- Working knowledge of Linux, C++, Python, Perl, and Java.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud computing platforms.
- Experience performing system engineering in space or aerospace concepts and alternative design, architectural analysis, modeling, and simulation, enterprise strategic planning, or digital engineering methodologies.
- Strong business acumen and ability to relate professionally in the work environment with customers and colleagues.
- Responsible and reliable, with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
