Key Responsibilities- Patient Support: Provide assistance to front office staff to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the office flow. Check patients in and out, obtain patient ID and insurance cards, and relay telephone messages.
- Customer Service: Offer heavy phone support and customer service to patients, ensuring a positive experience.
- Scheduling: Efficiently schedule patient appointments and maintain an updated scanning/filing system.
- Insurance and Referrals: Understand insurance referral processes, verify eligibility, and explain deductible, out-of-pocket, and co-insurance to patients.
- Administrative Support: Provide word-processing and secretarial support, including collecting payments and placing orders in a timely manner.
- Office Flow: Ensure the overall flow of the office is maintained at all times, including next-day scheduling and appointment confirmations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using office software and equipment to perform administrative tasks.
