Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Representative to join our team at Schneider. As a key member of our patient access team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless and efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, including creating and managing appointments, rescheduling, and cancellations.
  • Verify and validate patient insurance coverage, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks, including message management, work queues, and communication with clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate patient care, including emergent or add-on requests.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a medical reception or similar administrative role.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and common medications.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and insurance verification systems.
