As an Agricultural Software Product Strategist at Traction Ag, you will be instrumental in fostering ongoing innovation and enhancement of our farm management software solutions. You will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure our product not only fulfills but surpasses the dynamic needs of contemporary farmers. By bridging the divide between technical capabilities and practical farm management requirements, your contributions will significantly influence our growth and the success of our clients within the agricultural community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backlog Oversight: Oversee the product backlog, ensuring that our development team prioritizes tasks that deliver maximum value to our users.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage closely with internal stakeholders, including product managers, development teams, marketing, sales, and customer support, to gather insights and feedback that shape product features and enhancements.
  • User Story Formulation: Convert product strategy into detailed specifications and prototypes. Guide the development team in crafting user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Market Analysis: Remain informed about the latest trends and technologies in agricultural management software. Conduct competitor assessments to ensure our product retains a competitive advantage.
  • Product Roadmap Contribution: Assist in executing the product roadmap, aligning product milestones with business goals and customer requirements.
  • Performance Evaluation: Examine product performance and user engagement metrics to guide product decisions and report on the effectiveness of product features.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Product Ownership or Product Management within a SaaS software development context focused on agricultural, financial, or business management applications.
  • Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and principles.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, with a proven track record of leading and inspiring cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to address complex challenges and translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated success in managing product development cycles and collaborating closely with a development team.
