Sales Representative for UHNWI in Built/Construction Environment

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Sales Representative to join our team at Sound & Image Design, Inc. as an Outside Sales Representative. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your sales expertise and passion for high-end home technology to drive revenue growth and establish strong relationships with Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI) in the built/construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of sales opportunities with UHNWI clients in the built/construction environment.
  • Establish and maintain consistent referral relationships with architects, general contractors, owners' reps, interior designers, and other trades.
  • Build and maintain revenue-generating relationships with UHNWI clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales quotas of $1.5M+/yr, with uncapped commission potential.
  • Utilize our CRM to manage leads, opportunities, and activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Determine scope of work and ensure proposals align with client needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the built/construction environment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ideal knowledge: selling audio & video (A/V), networking, Lutron lighting & shading, Control4 (C4) control systems, high-end home cinema and audio.
  • Acceptable knowledge: selling to the built environment, elite levels of kitchens, landscape architecture, pools, wine rooms architectural finishes.
  • History with/as: ideally a residential or commercial technology integration firm, acceptable owners' rep, architectural rep, outside sales rep for a premium/elite brand of architectural products, business development for trades (electrical, pools, kitchens, etc.).
  • Outside sales skills: ability to produce own book of business, not retail.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary: $50k.
  • Commission: 5% of pre-tax gross sales.
  • Minimum year 1: $750k+ in sales = $37.5k commission + $50k base = $87.5k/yr.
  • Minimum year 2: $1.5M+ in sales = $75k commission + $50k base = $125k/yr.
  • On-target earnings at $2M/yr in sales = $150k/yr in total compensation.
  • Commissions are uncapped, with salespeople in our industry generating $5M+/yr in gross sales.
