Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef Manager to join our team at Torchy's Tacos. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all Back of the House (BOH) operations, ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment, and driving a culture of excellence in food quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage food costs, inventory, and ordering to optimize profitability
- Select, interview, and hire BOH Team Members to ensure proper staffing levels
- Create and manage BOH Team Member schedules to meet labor targets and support sales projections
- Verify that BOH Team Members follow recipes, weigh prepped items, record production numbers, and portion servings correctly
- Develop and implement action plans to improve operations and food quality based on Mystery Shop and Damn Good Restaurant Assessment results
- Communicate effectively with Team Members, providing clear direction and motivation to support our Torchy's Values
- Run Damn Good shifts and support the daily operation of the store
- Partner with the Learning & Development team to ensure all BOH Team Members are properly trained and certified
Requirements
- 3+ years of kitchen management experience
- Required state alcohol-server and Manager Food Certification
- High-level understanding of training and development concepts
- Ability to foster teamwork and leadership skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand for several hours and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
