The Parts Inventory Cycle Counter plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and promoting a safe work environment at Blanchard Machinery Company.
Under the direction of the Parts Inventory Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for owning inventory accuracy, CAT contamination standards, and re-warehousing for Blanchard's Parts Inventories.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily cycle counts and investigate errors for Blanchard's main Columbia store and assist other store locations when necessary.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy for counts and data entry.
- Identify products and units of measure.
- Perform regular housekeeping/straightening of inventory and look for opportunities to utilize warehouse space more efficiently.
- Work with warehouse staff to solve inventory accuracy issues related to picking, receiving, and other related processes.
- Research inventory discrepancies and resolve potential issues.
- Complete required bin transfers and inventory relocations.
- Ensure inventory stores adhere to CAT Contamination Standards.
- High school diploma required.
- 1-3 years warehouse experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft office tools, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
- Ability to adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and safety requirements.
- Strong work ethic and self-starter.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- High commitment to completing tasks in a timely manner.
The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside throughout the day, however this position may also require working in non-climate-controlled environments as well as outdoors.
Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
Must be able to lift varied weights up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
