Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement clinical programs and activities in accordance with programmatic and funding guidelines.
  • Monitor and evaluate nursing and other clinical programs to ensure they are adequate, appropriate, and accessible within the community.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to public health staff in the county health department setting.
  • Organize and coordinate community health services according to agency policies, programs, objectives, and resources available in the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and partners to provide clinical public health services.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and Georgia license as an APRN.
  • Current certification in specialty area and CPR certification.
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience and/or experience at the lower level PH Advanced Practice RN 1 (HCP200) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Family Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • Experience in STD/Infectious disease.
