Advanced Practice Provider in Gynecologic Oncology
Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to become a vital member of the gynecologic surgical service line team. This full-time role is based at our Athens campus and Gynecologic Oncology clinic, with varied on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in surgical procedures as the first assist in the operating room.

• Conduct patient rounds in the hospital setting.

• Manage post-operative and critically ill patients during their hospital stay.

• Evaluate post-operative patients in an outpatient office environment.

• Utilize specialized skills and knowledge to care for patients in critical care areas such as CVOR, ICU, CCU, and CVICU.

• Contribute to high standards in patient care, research, education, and leadership within the organization.


• Perform assessments and diagnostic procedures to aid physicians in identifying medical and surgical issues, prescribing necessary treatments for optimal patient care.


• Gather patient histories, conduct thorough physical examinations, document progress notes, and prepare comprehensive patient summaries that highlight significant findings. Establish therapeutic relationships with patients based on their psychosocial history relevant to care.

• Order and coordinate laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.

• Clearly communicate the necessity, preparation, nature, and expected outcomes of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients, their families, and staff.

• Monitor patient progress, report findings to the supervising physician, and maintain detailed records of each patient's journey, consulting with the supervising physician when progress does not align with expectations.

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program and National Board Certification.
