Job Summary:

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our call center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and respond to incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide accurate and efficient information to callers, including directions to hospital departments and services
  • Transfer calls to the appropriate department or staff member
  • Take and relay messages to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Utilize computerized systems to locate physicians, personnel, and patients
  • Assist with emergency and disaster preparedness situations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of experience in a customer service environment preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computerized systems

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a controlled environment with up to 20 co-workers
  • May experience fluctuation in room temperatures
  • Employee and customer conversations may be monitored and recorded
