Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Resource Adequacy Planning Engineer to join our team at MISO Energy. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and conducting studies related to Resource Adequacy and Planning Resource Auctions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Loss of Load Expectation (LOLE) studies to ensure reliable power supply
  • Analyze Seasonal Accredited Capacity (SAC) to optimize resource allocation
  • Conduct Seasonal Resource Assessments to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Communicate findings to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with resource adequacy processes
Requirements

We are looking for talented professionals who hold a bachelor's degree or higher in one of several engineering disciplines, including Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

Preferred qualifications include related experience with Electric or Power Systems, Gas, Energy Industry, ISO/RTOs, capacity markets, and energy markets, as well as previous resource adequacy, transmission planning, or RTO experience.
