About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Day Habilitation Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist program participants in achieving their personal goals and exceeding expectations
  • Provide structure and emotional support to help individuals become self-sufficient and self-actualized
  • Help resolve behavioral issues and promote a positive living environment
  • Assist with personal hygiene and daily living tasks
  • Complete accurate and detailed documentation
  • Transport individuals to and from volunteer and pre-vocational activities using Agency vehicles
Requirements
  • Clean, valid NYS Driver's license
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Some experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (training provided)
  • Ability to assist with lifting and transferring adults
  • Prior experience as a Caregiver, Care Assistant, Personal Assistant, or Direct Care Worker (a plus)
Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, 40 hours per week
