Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Office Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient service, including registering patients, collecting co-payments, and answering phone calls and in-person inquiries.
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient processing of patients through the clinic.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic, insurance, and clinical information.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of secretarial experience or medical office training, including 1 year of patient or customer service experience.
  • Experience using a computerized health information system.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Moderate knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The pay range for this position is $23.46 per hour.
