Job Summary

We are seeking an Area Sales Director to lead and coordinate CVRx personnel within their region to ensure regional goals are met or exceeded. The successful candidate will drive Barostim market growth, support commercial sites, lead patient recruitment efforts, and manage a team of Regional Managers and Clinical Sales Representatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Barostim market growth and expansion in the South Central US region.
  • Support commercial sites and ensure seamless integration of CVRx's therapy.
  • Lead patient recruitment efforts and develop strategies to increase patient engagement.
  • Manage a team of Regional Managers and Clinical Sales Representatives to achieve regional goals.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians and clinical investigators.
  • Provide technical support and training to ensure successful adoption of CVRx's therapy.
  • Identify high-performing commercial accounts and develop strategies to maintain and grow these relationships.
  • Facilitate training programs and ensure that all team members are equipped to meet regional goals.
Requirements
  • BS in health sciences, engineering, or business.
  • 3-5 years of experience in direct or indirect use of medical devices or other relevant field experience within the medical device field.
  • 2-3 years of experience leading a team of medical device sales representatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with products for cardiology or cardiac surgery therapeutic devices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and self-awareness with key customer groups.
  • Strong relationship development with clinical investigators and customers in the cardiology and/or cardiac surgery area.
  • Ability to proficiently make group presentations, follow-up, and in-service visits.
  • Understanding and ability to conduct site and physician training.
  • Ability to answer technical questions related to tips, techniques, and help physicians with problem solving during cases.
  • Knowledge of market with clear understanding of competitive devices, strategies, and advantages/disadvantages as they relate to CVRx's devices.
  • Ability to interact with research and development to represent customer perspective in order to provide input on product enhancements and new product development.
  • Skills in planning and time management.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly.
  • Ability to interpret clinical data, issues, and feedback.
  • Team player with entrepreneurial passion. Hands-on style.
  • Ability to see both the short- and long-term vision of the company and products.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to travel 50-75% plus.
