Job Title: Production Support Associate - Space Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Support Associate to join our Space Operations team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient production process, from material planning to final product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Production Scheduling and Material Planning to control the flow of materials to manufacturing work centers.
  • Reconcile part discrepancies and coordinate with Production Scheduling and Material Planning to order replacements or request spares as needed.
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
  • Work cross-functionally to expedite material shortages with Production Scheduling and Material Planning and other production areas.
  • Monitor and respond to technician parts needs, including replacements for non-conforming parts, delivery of fasteners and shop stock, and moving assemblies to inventory or to the next work center.
  • Enter material transactions in the ERP system and process scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as required.
  • Prepare for and assist in reconciliation of cycle counts and identify, catalog, and report manufacturing delays, sources, and resolutions needed to Operations Supervisors and Managers.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of supply chain experience.
  • Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and/or inventory control applications.
  • Familiarity with activities related to planning and/or scheduling.
  • Experience working with a cross-functional team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates understanding and ability to apply continuous improvement concepts.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted.
  • Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
  • Willingness to utilize powered lifting equipment, fork lifts, pallet jacks, hoists, lift tables, etc. to support safe hardware handling operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends, and travel on occasion.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
