Safety Measures

Position Overview
The Prep Cook will assist in the preparation and serving of meals, including specialized diets, while adhering to established standards and regulations. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning processes.
  • Assisting the Dietary Aide as needed and providing direction to other staff with appropriate approvals.
  • Utilizing protective gear and following safety protocols in all tasks.
  • Ensuring compliance with infection control policies to maintain a sanitary environment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, follow instructions effectively, and perform routine tasks consistently. Requirements include:

  • A Culinary Arts degree or certification, or a minimum of five years of culinary experience at the Sous Chef level.
  • Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course (ServSafe) and current certification as required by local laws.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
