Key Responsibilities:

The transition to renewable energy necessitates substantial financial investments to support clean energy production, energy storage solutions, infrastructure enhancements, electric vehicle charging stations, and building decarbonization initiatives. Securing funding for these projects is a vital focus for various governmental and organizational entities. Your role will involve collaborating with public sector organizations to ensure that capital is allocated effectively and that associated risks are thoroughly evaluated and managed.

Specific duties include:
  • Conducting financial due diligence and analysis on clean energy and mobility projects to evaluate their financial viability and associated risks regarding performance, management, governance, and legal compliance.
  • Assessing project business plans for feasibility and ensuring that financing structures and requirements align with industry standards.
  • Analyzing financial and commercial aspects of contractual agreements (e.g., Offtake, EPC, O&M) to confirm their reasonableness and industry compliance.
  • Verifying that financial data, forecasts, and assumptions in business plans are consistent with key contractual terms and accurately represented in financial models.
  • Identifying project risks and providing guidance on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with market and technical advisors to support client objectives.
  • Assisting clients in loan negotiations by evaluating the financial implications of negotiation terms and advising on risk management strategies.
  • Helping clients prepare and review credit approval documentation, including risk assessments and presentations for decision-making bodies.
  • Reviewing financial terms in loan agreements to ensure consistency with term sheets and advising clients accordingly.
  • Supporting clients during the monitoring phase by addressing changes in external or internal factors evaluated during the underwriting process and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Building and nurturing client relationships.
  • Contributing to team development through coaching and mentorship.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial advisory, infrastructure finance, or project finance.
  • Proficiency in building or analyzing financial models and assessing the creditworthiness of projects or sponsors.
  • Willingness to learn across various sectors.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Must reside in the USA.
  • The candidate must not be restricted by previous employment agreements that would hinder job performance.
  • This position is open to candidates willing to work in designated office locations.
  • Compensation will vary based on education, experience, and location.
  • Hiring level will be determined through the interview process.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with public sector lending or guarantee programs.
  • Background in working with government entities, banks, or development finance institutions.
  • Experience in social and environmental sustainability.
