The Role
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) operates under the direction of the Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The Corporate Operations Department (Code 10), Code 00, TD, and Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Headquarters (HQ) form an integral part of NUWCDIVNPT, providing timely and cost-efficient business and operational services to the division. These services include Human Resources, Infrastructure, Corporate Communications, Activity Chief Information Officer (ACIO)/Information Technology, Security, and Corporate Business Office functions. The department offers responsive and affordable services to effectively support approximately 3,000 government employees. We provide administrative and technical services to all of NUWCDIVNPT, including NUWC HQ, in areas such as data gathering and analysis; technical writing; preparation of graphic material; data entry; database maintenance and administration; software verification maintenance; and administrative research, analysis, and support services.

Your Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Program Manager and requires providing administrative support, including data entry, calendar management, room reservations, answering phones, and office supply management. Key responsibilities include:
* Generate or update project documentation and materials, such as agendas, schedules, meeting minutes, status reports, task books, system engineering notebooks, and presentations.
* Create electronic and paper copies of documents for distribution or retention in the Code 10 data.
* Track, consolidate, and update action item lists, status reports, and risk management material.
* Perform data assessment and provide recommendations to support and improve department operational activities, facilities, and physical workspaces.
* Provide technical writing services to write and edit materials for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related publications concerned with work methods and procedures, installations, operations, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment.
* Prepare material for public release and ensure proper classification and marking of documentation.
* Bid and proposal support if requested.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
* An active secret clearance OR the ability to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance is required.
* A high school diploma is required.
* One year of experience providing administrative support is required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat, is required.
* Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills are essential.
* Functional experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel applications is preferred.
* Basic computer literacy and data entry skills are necessary.
* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills are essential.
* Strong time management skills are required.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment is necessary.
* Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time and alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Estimated Salary:
$45,000 - $65,000 per annum based on location and experience.
