Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our commercial clients, ensuring their needs are met, and exceeding their expectations.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Cultivating strong relationships with commercial clients and serving as their primary point of contact
  • Issuing Certificates of Insurance and other documents in a timely and accurate manner
  • Responding to client inquiries, insurance carriers, sales team, and supervisors in a professional and effective manner
  • Researching and presenting answers to client questions about their policies and coverage
  • Utilizing our agency management system to record, track, and complete service requests
  • Processing and submitting new and renewal clients for marketing and placement, reviewing and summarizing quotes for competitiveness and accuracy, and negotiating rates when necessary
  • Preparing proposals with the sales team for client presentations
  • Processing and checking policies, carrier downloads, endorsements, endorsement requests, cancellations, and audits for accuracy
  • Managing, submitting, and following up on claims throughout the claims process
  • Processing incoming mail to the appropriate team members
  • Answering direct billing questions from clients
  • Occasionally answering incoming calls from clients and carrier partners
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A Property & Casualty License
  • At least 3 years of experience in commercial insurance servicing
  • Basic math skills and the ability to learn new technology
  • A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong listening skills
  • Highly organized and strong time management skills
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Integrity and a high level of confidentiality
  • Experience with AMS360 (a plus)
