About the Role:

KurzSolutions is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing, assaying, and administering radiopharmaceutical doses to patients. You will also be responsible for operating nuclear medicine equipment, such as SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT, and performing a range of diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, assay, and administer radiopharmaceutical doses to patients
  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment, such as SPECT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT
  • Perform a range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including SPECT/CT and PET/CT
  • Understand and perform exposure rate calculations
  • Analyze procedure images for quality and obtain additional images when necessary
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and perform radionuclide therapy in collaboration with a Nuclear Medicine Physician
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of personnel requiring film badges and read and understand film badge exposure reports
  • Prepare studies for nuclear medicine physician's interpretation and record appropriate data and related information on patient worksheets and images
  • Schedule patient procedures, taking into consideration camera availability, scan length, patient condition, and other clinic appointments

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • Completion of an NMTCB-recognized nuclear medicine technology program or a nuclear medicine technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT)
  • One year minimum of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
