Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

The Nuclear Medicine Specialist Advanced works under the supervision of the Chief Technologist of Nuclear Medicine at Loma Linda University. This role performs all imaging procedures offered in the Nuclear Medicine Department, maintaining and performing defined quality control on all equipment used. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for patient safety while providing high-quality techniques. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals.
Responsibilities:- Perform imaging procedures and maintain quality control on equipment
- Assume responsibility for patient safety
- Provide high-quality techniques
- Work in a team environment to provide services for both LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals
- Successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program
- Able to operate all equipment in the scanning areas and perform various tests
- Able to teach students, instruct patients, communicate with physicians and co-workers
- Able to read, write legibly, speak in English with professional quality, use computer and software programs necessary to the position
- Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
- Basic Life Support certification required
- Certified and registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Nuclear Medicine (N) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), and State of California - Certified Technologist - Nuclear Medicine required
