About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Specialist to join our team at 4684 SMC Region USC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing technical knowledge, advice, and support to both internal and external customers to resolve requests regarding product and application issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Growth and Development:
    • Provide field sales support to Account Managers and Distributors, including providing leads, assisting on sales calls, making presentations, providing training, and providing competitive intelligence.
    • Create business development plans and targets for the product range in collaboration with the Sales Manager, including the introduction of new products into the market.
    • Conduct Crushing and Screening Site Audits, including modeling and projections, to ensure the added value of our technology is captured and presented in the right way.
    • Provide estimated equipment performance metrics for proposals to Account Managers and Distributors.
    • Provide significant input into strategic plans for the continued expansion of the product line for all relevant stakeholders within the Sales Area.
    • Coordinate data from the market for analysis, research, and design engineering for the successful development of new product offerings.
    • Participate in the team to develop and implement plans and actions in accordance with global and regional initiatives and guidelines.
    • Knowledge of Profit and Loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Customer Service & Expertise:
    • Provide training and education on the product range, assisting with the compilation of tender documentation, pricing strategies, and the supply of marketing material to support sales efforts.
    • Visit key customers in conjunction with the sales team to provide in-depth product knowledge, develop direct customer relationships with key clients, and help the aftermarket teams to troubleshoot technical problems.
    • Coordinate and review information to ensure that product performance levels and specifications meet customer requirements.
    • Assist factories with field-testing and trials of new products and updated components to ensure proper and safe operation.
    • Monitor test results for new products to implement improvement of the product.
    • Develop and organize product and application training for sales and application personnel for the respective products.
  • Your Profile:
    • University degree or equivalent industry experience and strong sales acumen.
    • High level of digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
    • Flexible, self-motivated, and drive to achieve customer satisfaction goals and targets.
    • Strong investigation and diagnostic skills.
    • Ability to assess and manage business risk.
    • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to travel up to 50%.
