About the Role

The Media Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in the master control and content ingestion processes for multiple NBC and Telemundo Owned and Operated Television Stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ingest and Quality Control: Ensure the integrity of all digital media by adhering to technical specifications for all encoded and transcoded files, aiming for zero errors or defects.
  • Content Management: Oversee the segmentation of syndicated file deliveries and manage asset preparation, including organizing and retrieving content for broadcast.
  • Media Preparation: Learn and execute all media preparation processes within the Media Operations Center, adapting to any new procedures that may arise.
  • Delivery Support: Provide support for the distribution of digital media to internal departments and external partners, ensuring all materials are ready for air.
  • Troubleshooting: Address basic issues in the media preparation workflow, following established escalation procedures while maintaining effective communication.
Collaboration

Work closely with fellow Technicians, Media Asset Coordinators, Hub On-Air Supervisors, and local station teams to guarantee that all materials are ingested, quality checked, and prepared for broadcast.

Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisors to support the overall operations.
