Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Culinary Operations Manager who possesses flexible availability for various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role requires a commitment to both opening and closing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
  • Embodies and promotes the core values of our establishment.
  • Oversees all back-of-house operations, ensuring seamless coordination among kitchen staff, food preparation, and dishwashing areas.
  • Acts as a communication bridge between kitchen and dining room personnel.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, and evaluation of kitchen staff.
  • Manages inventory procurement, menu planning, and food production to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Ensures food quality standards are met and maintains cleanliness in the kitchen and equipment.
  • Trains kitchen staff on safe equipment operation and sanitation practices.
  • Implements and maintains cleaning schedules for all kitchen areas.
  • Monitors food storage and refrigeration temperature compliance.
  • Administers fair and consistent corrective actions in line with company policies.
  • Facilitates effective communication with team members and management.
  • Motivates and inspires staff to achieve excellence in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensures adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in culinary roles, including line cook and expediter.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a managerial capacity within the restaurant industry.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and efficiency in task execution.
  • Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent physical movements.
  • Engagement in activities such as stair climbing and brisk walking is expected.
