General Manager Job Description

A&R Hospitality Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our Gulf Shores Staybridge Suites hotel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for motivating and developing our staff, creating and implementing the annual Business Plan, and ensuring outstanding operating results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the hotel is maximizing the Guest and Associate experience.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with A&R's hotel operating policies and procedures.
  • Set goals and hold team members accountable, provide feedback, rewards, and recognition.
  • Be effectively accountable for managing and motivating associates and achieving overall financial results, guest and associate satisfaction.
  • Ensure proper, timely operations reporting and record keeping.
  • Develop, implement, and support successful attainment of assigned hotel's annual Business Plan.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field of study preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of hotel industry operations experience.
  • Minimum of one year of General Manager supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Highly energetic and motivated individual.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focus essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities while adapting easily to change.
  • Results-driven focus and ability to work through to completion in a timely manner.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
