We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Grouse Mountain Lodge, a part of the Glacier Park Collection. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen staff and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a team of culinary professionals, including cooks and prep staff, to ensure seamless food production and exceptional guest experiences.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menus, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and locally-inspired dishes that showcase the best of Montana's cuisine.
- Ensure that all kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently, including prep, line cooking, and expediting.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as ordering and inventory management, to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to state and federal food safety standards.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Experience in banquet and wedding catering preferred.
- Current Serv-Safe certification or food handler sanitation certificate.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to work in a seasonal environment with diverse teams and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Resourceful and able to solve problems creatively.
- Strong commitment to building positive working relationships and fostering a culture of inclusivity.
