Job Title: Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to relocate to the Pittsburgh, PA area to work on Datacard Central Issuance Systems, including the MX6100 and MX6000, MXD and MXi. This role will involve repairing and refurbishing used equipment for sale, offering phone support, and supporting our in-house card printing service bureau.

The successful candidate will spend up to 25% of their time traveling to customer sites to repair, move, or install equipment. This is a full-time, hourly position based on skill and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair, rebuild, and refurbish specialized equipment.
  • Install and troubleshoot computer software.
  • Clean, inspect, and prep equipment prior to shipping.
  • Contribute to team effort by completing necessary tasks and assisting in other areas.
Requirements:
  • Must have networking experience.
  • Must have mechanical and technical experience.
  • Electronics repair experience is a plus.
  • Must have a positive attitude and communicate on a professional level.
  • Ability to function with limited supervision.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle up to 26 feet and have a current PA driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and stay overnight occasionally.
  • Skilled with basic tools.
