Located on the corner of a bustling street in Santa Monica, Meat on Ocean is a renowned steakhouse that offers breathtaking views of the Pacific. Our restaurant is known for its exceptional dining experience and commitment to quality.

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality products, integrity of kitchen systems, and financial well-being of the back of the house.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and cooking techniques.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of meal services.

Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a cook supervisor/sous/kitchen manager is required. You should have a strong understanding of kitchen operations, including ordering, troubleshooting variances, and developing line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers. Additionally, you should be able to communicate effectively with Guests, management, and co-workers.

The estimated salary for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 based on experience.
