We are seeking a highly motivated and technical Sales Manager to join our team at our Nebraska facility. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling galvanizing services to the metal fabrication market using various sales techniques. You will work closely with our Regional Sales Director to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries about services, prices, timelines, and credit terms.
  • Service Recommendations: Recommend services to customers based on their needs and interests.
  • Sales and Marketing: Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate services, explain product features, and solicit orders.
  • Estimating and Quoting: Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
  • Client Relationships: Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide ongoing service.
  • Business Development: Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Market Research: Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate prices and terms of sales and service agreements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
  • Lead Follow-up: Follow up on sales leads and make cold calls to potential customers.
  • Budget Management: Follow established budgetary restrictions.
Requirements
  • Self-Motivation: A self-starter with the drive and motivation to be successful in this role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Desire to learn about galvanizing and how AZZ makes our customers' products better.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of sales experience is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent customer relation skills and written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing, steel fabrication, or other custom metal coating operations is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent is required.
