Position Summary
The Guest Relations Ambassador plays a crucial role in ensuring outstanding service for all visitors by executing various responsibilities. This includes managing incoming communications, welcoming guests at the hospitality office, and providing essential administrative support across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external clients, aligning with the organization's mission and core values.
- Exemplify ideal guest and partner interactions consistently, embodying the principles of excellence and serving as a model for organizational values.
- Oversee the Guest Relations Desk operations on a regular schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Respond to incoming calls with a positive and professional demeanor, offering information and promoting our attractions to potential visitors.
- Welcome and assist guests and partners visiting the office.
- Maintain a professional and inviting atmosphere at the Guest Relations desk and surrounding office area.
- Sort and distribute daily correspondence and faxes.
- Manage lost and found items effectively.
- Keep track of and order office supplies as necessary.
- Provide general clerical and administrative assistance to the Guest Experience Support Team as required.
- Process brochure requests from prospective guests.
- Prepare accounts payable checks for distribution on a weekly basis.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- At least 6 months of experience in a guest or customer service role is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Outgoing and friendly personality with a strong commitment to providing excellent guest service.
- Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple phone calls simultaneously.
- Professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with guests and partners.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capability to present information clearly and respond to inquiries from managers, guests, or the public; able to read and analyze business correspondence and develop reports.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling financial transactions.
- Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
- Physical ability to use hands and fingers regularly, lift/move up to 20 pounds, and perform tasks that involve walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching frequently.
