Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership regarding risk assessment and overall security posture.

  • Assist clients in formulating long-term security and compliance objectives, articulating strategies, defining performance metrics, and updating executive leadership as required.
  • Effectively communicate the significance of information security across all organizational levels.
  • Advise on the integration of cybersecurity requirements into organizational continuity planning.
  • Facilitate the alignment of enterprise information security architecture with the overarching security strategy.
  • Conduct cost-benefit and risk analyses as stipulated in client contracts.
  • Advise senior executives on the economic implications of security programs and policies.
  • Identify alternative security strategies that align with organizational objectives while supporting business goals.
  • Drive the client's information security and privacy strategy across various platforms, including on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Act as a credible representative of the client's security and privacy interests to customers and stakeholders.
  • Enhance awareness of security challenges among management and ensure alignment with organizational vision and goals.
  • Ensure project adherence to defined scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Manage project communications and negotiations effectively.
  • Address client feedback as directed by senior leadership.
  • Encourage innovative ideas and implement best practices.
  • Align departmental objectives with the overall organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with business processes to enhance operational efficiency and identify infrastructure needs.
  • Document lessons learned from previous projects and ensure regular updates to training materials.
  • Oversee project assignments and transitions.
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction among all stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on metrics related to client satisfaction.
  • Support the cultivation of strategic partnerships to foster long-term, profitable relationships with key clients.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, or a Master's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a J.D. with 6+ years of related experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, ideally at a senior level, including experience as a Chief Information Security Officer.
  • Expertise in the current threat landscape and advanced protection strategies.
  • Proven track record in developing successful security, risk, and compliance programs.
  • Current knowledge of evolving strategies that address the dynamic security environment.
  • Expertise in enterprise security controls and frameworks, particularly CIS Critical Security Controls and NIST-based frameworks.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), with additional certifications such as Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) being advantageous.

Compensation

The expected annual base salary range is $135,200 – $140,000, with eligibility for bonuses. Actual salary will be determined based on various factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and job location.
