Position Overview

Wiginton Fire Systems is actively seeking skilled professionals for the position of Fire Alarm Technician.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Configure and initiate newly installed fire alarm systems.
  • Design, assemble, and install low voltage components for fire alarm systems, ensuring adherence to applicable codes and standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing of all system features and components to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Perform inspections and troubleshoot any system malfunctions.
  • Interpret and follow product manuals, while also instructing clients on system maintenance and care.
  • Compile and present detailed reports on customer status and project completion.
  • Offer guidance and oversight to assistants and/or installers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Physical endurance and ability to perform demanding tasks.
  • Excellent communication, training, and organizational abilities, combined with a strong sense of pride and integrity.
  • Enjoyment of independent work and outdoor environments.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in servicing and inspecting fire alarm systems and panels is required.
  • Preferred certifications include NICET Certifications in fire alarm systems, along with FASA / BASA.
