Job Summary

Holtec International's Nuclear Power Division is seeking an Electrical Engineer Team Lead to join the Site Technical Services group. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth implementation and execution of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead team members through the conceptual and detailed design phases for all aspects of electrical engineering work, including interface and coordination with other disciplines and the client.
  • Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at Nuclear Power Plants.
  • Define deliverables and convey scope of work to group members.
  • Develop proposals for complex electrical modifications at Nuclear Power Plants.
  • Provide technical oversight and supervision for all electrical engineering activities, including development of Engineering Change Packages, Engineering Calculations, and Equipment Specifications.
  • Interface with the client, including implementing personnel to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Mentor and guide the development of the group team members.
  • Interface with project team members from other engineering and design disciplines (Mechanical, Structural, Civil, etc.).
  • Ensure good engineering practices are implemented by team members through guidance and leadership.
  • Initiate frequent exchanges with team members to resolve open issues, promote a supportive team approach, and address potential risks to project execution.
  • Support travel to client sites (based on project specific needs) for design reviews to support construction coordination and field verification of designs.
Qualification Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the design of electrical engineering systems for nuclear power plants or related field.
  • Ability to travel between company, vendor, and client sites as required.
  • Ability to obtain nuclear power plant access as required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documents.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering systems design and analysis concepts.
  • Prefer previous nuclear experience, but not required.
  • Prefer P.E., but not required.
