Holtec International's Nuclear Power Division (NPD) is actively looking for Project Engineers at both Entry-Level and Mid-Level to become part of the Site Technical Services team.

The Project Engineer is integral to the effective execution and management of engineering initiatives across all services provided by Holtec International.

This role acts as the main engineering liaison with external stakeholders, develops a variety of technical documentation within their specialization, and aids in the coordination of project outputs to guarantee timely completion, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality standards.

This position demands a blend of technical knowledge, organizational skills, and strong communication abilities.

Overall, Holtec International's engineering services are tailored to support the complete lifecycle of nuclear power facilities, from initial design and construction to decommissioning and waste management, with a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:


This role will contribute to various engineering projects with the following general duties: Generate technical documentation such as Engineering Change Packages, Operations & Maintenance Manuals, Design Specifications, and various Procedures.

Evaluate and analyze equipment functionality and operability to identify impacts of design changes.
Assist in the development and validation of system documentation, including drawings, design descriptions, logic diagrams, process flow calculations, and equipment sizing.

Support Design and Analysis team members in creating conceptual and detailed designs for new fabrication and modifications of existing plant systems and equipment.

Establish design and quality standards for equipment utilized in Nuclear Power Plant systems.

Assist in preparing necessary licensing basis reviews to support plant modifications and operational activities.

Collaborate with Project Management to set initial project timelines and assess impacts on schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
Contribute to the development of training materials, including Qualification Procedures, Lesson Plans, PowerPoint Presentations, and Training Videos.
Ensure the implementation of sound engineering practices by researching and applying Operating Experience and Lessons Learned.

Initiate regular communication with team members to resolve outstanding issues, foster a collaborative team environment, and address potential risks to project execution.

Support travel to client locations as required for design reviews to assist with construction coordination and field verification of designs.


Qualifications:
Minimum - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or a related engineering discipline.
Willingness to travel between company, vendor, and client sites as necessary.
Ability to obtain access to nuclear power plants as required.
Exceptional attention to detail and capability to produce accurate documentation.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in math, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Understanding of applied mechanics and heat transfer principles.
Capacity to manage multiple tasks and complete work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Previous nuclear experience is preferred but not mandatory.
E.I.T. Certification is preferred but not required.
